Plan Your Event On The Indian River Queen

Let Us Guide You through the Process

Booking an event onboard the Indian River Queen is a BREEZE!

The Queen's Event Planners will assist you to customize an exclusive event that will meet all of your needs. Your cruise will be customized and the total price will reflect your budget and request. No two events are the same! One thing that will be consistent onboard the Indian River Queen is the high quality of our Service, Food & Beverage, Staff, Cleanliness, Safety & Hospitality! You will Host the BEST event your guest have ever attended!

Listed below are the simple steps to follow to plan your special event onboard the
Indian River Queen.

1. Client Needs: We will establish your specific needs for your event such as date availability, number of Guests, date, event type, time line, set-up and your special requirements will all be discussed. This interview can be done over the phone by calling 321-454-7414 or at a personal meeting onboard the Queen.

2. Private Dockside Tour: We will arrange for a personal private dockside tour of the Indian River Queen. This on-site meeting gives you the opportunity to determine if the Queen is appropriate for your event. You will also have the opportunity to meet your Event Planner personally.

3. Confirm your Date: This is your most important step. Save your date! A deposit of $350.00 is required to secure your date. Once you have secured your date, our Event Planner can begin customizing the details of your event. If your date is available you have the option of submitting your deposit during your site inspection. Credit cards, cash or checks are accepted.

4. Confirm Your Details: Our Staff Event Planner will assist you to create your event with your entire request such as menu choice, entertainment, guest count, beverage options, times of the cruise, theme etc. Once all of these details are confirmed you will receive a FUNCTION SHEET with all of the details outlined. The Queen provides all appropriate licenses and permits to host your event.

5. Payment Plan: Your payment plan will be outlined on the function sheet. All fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to your event.

6. Send Out Your Invitations: Be sure to allow your Guest plenty of time to prepare for your event, especially if they need to arrange for travel time. Also confirm that your guest know to arrive on time. . . and Don't Miss the Boat! You may also let them know that they should wear comfortable shoes and bring a sweater for the outside decks in the event of cool weather. We are happy to email you photos of the Queen in the event you would like to utilize images of the Queen for invitations and save the date magnets. You may also want to download a map to assist your guest with directions.

7. On-site Parking: On site parking is available for all evening and weekend events. Parking restrictions are outlined on our website.

8. Vendor Confirmation: If we create a package for your event... you can disregard this paragraph! Our Event Planner will be handling all details associated with planning your event. In the event you choose to contract outside vendors such a photographer, entertainers, florist & cake designers you need to begin those arrangements now. Be sure that all outside vendors contact our office regarding Ship do's & don'ts. To ensure smooth sailing, all outside vendors must be licensed and insured to serve onboard the Indian River Queen. Vendors who are first timers must have a site inspection with the Captain two weeks prior to your event.

9. Deadlines: Two weeks prior to your event you must confirm your number of guest and all fees must be paid in full.

8. Party Time: Be a guest at your own party! A party waiting to happen... We will have the Queen ready to serve your guests as they arrive with a Welcome Aboard Reception. We recommend that the Host or someone representing the host arrive early to greet the guests as they board. Typically, the first 30 minutes of your event is at the dock. This allows for guests time to board. In the event your guests arrive by motor coach, we will depart as soon as the last person boards. You are also welcome to come early to set up and decorate for your event if you choose.

10. Safety: Prior to leaving the dock the Captain will make a brief safety announcement. Everyone must be onboard for this announcement.

11. Time Line: Our event planner will ensure that your event goes as planned. Your approved time line will be outlined in your function sheet, which the crew will honor. There will be designated time to open the buffet, make special announcements, dancing, hot spots to gather, cake cutting, champagne toast, sunset photos, award presentations, etc.

12. All Good Things Must Come To An End: Once we return to the dock, your guests are welcome to disembark. Try to be at the gangway to say your farewells! Your guest will be anxious to tell you how they enjoyed your party.

13. Don't Be A Stranger: Once you have had an event on the Queen you will be one of the Crew! We look forward to seeing you onboard again.
